What information do we collect?

When you purchase a product:

Contact details, including:

Credit card details (forms serviced by Braintree, Chase Paymentech, or Fastspring handle these)

How do you use the information?

All website visitors:

This information allows us to better understand the type of visitors we have and what content they are reading.  This allows us to better understand which products and services are useful to people.

All usage complies with the Google Analytics terms of service.

Product purchase:

Contact details - in order to provide customer support only.  These details are not shared with third parties.

Credit card details - entered into Braintree or Avangate systems in order to complete the transaction and/or setup a monthly subscription.

What control do website visitors/customers have over their personal information?

All website visitors:

You can opt out of Google's advertising tracking cookie or use a browser plugin to opt out of Google Analytics tracking software.

Product customers:

Contact details - removed 30 days after the customer's last product subscription and/or support period lapses (whichever is longer).

Credit card details - removed from Braintree/Avangate servers as soon as you cancel your subscription.

How do you protect the information?

All website visitors:

Analytics tracking data - Always stored by Google, never on BSW Technology Consulting servers.

Product customers:

Contact details - Person names, company names, street addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses are stored encrypted but only on BSW Technology Consulting machines that employees have access to.

Credit card details - See Braintree, Chase Paymentech, or FastSpring for the various security measures they use to protect your data.  BSW Technology Consulting NEVER stores or directly requests your credit card details.
